P E Systems provides a wide range of A&AS support to accomplish the goals, objectives, and priorities of the F/B portfolio for the United States Air Force and coalition partners. Our Team of 23 acquisition professionals support F/B Directorate’s mission of cost, schedule, performance, and life-cycle management of the fighters and bombers portfolio, which includes the following weapon systems: A-10, F-15, F-16, F-22, B-1, B-2, B-52, Combat Systems, and Special Programs. In addition, the F/B Directorate organizes, trains, and equips the F-35 System Program Office.
P E Systems personnel were instrumental in planning and implementing the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s (AFLCMC) greatly expanded F/B Directorate mission, manning, and assigned units with no increase in A&AS manning. Our Team supported acquiring and supporting fighter and bomber war-winning capability, and focusing the talent and effort of personnel at WPAFB, Tinker, Hill, and Robins Air Force Bases. In addition, our people continued to execute the F/B portfolio of weapon systems. Our Team’s significant accomplishments include:
Acquisition Program Management: The portfolio integrators supported incorporating multiple F/B programs into consolidated Directorate Portfolio Reviews and supported development of weapon system Roadmap books documenting future modernization and sustainment tasks. Requirements/integration and capability planners provided portfolio-centric support to developing program requirements and where the single voice for F/B portfolio needs to science and technology developers. Our system safety manager provided guidance to F/B Directorate leaders and weapon systems programs.
Program/Project Management, Facilities/Grounds Support. Our facilities and grounds managers were instrumental in establishing expanded, new facilities required for special programs.
Management Analysis: Our management analysts’ products support everyone in the F/B Directorate with new and expanded processes and tools to effectively manage the newly expanded F/B Directorate including updating the F/B Directorate Handbook, expanding SharePoint and SOCCER information tools, managing Requirements Action Documents from newly assigned units, and consolidating personnel management of military, contractors, and civilians.
Financial Management: Our financial managers analyzed and incorporated financial information for the portfolio’s multiple weapon systems into comprehensive Tri-annual Reviews and budget inputs. They consolidated key financial information of 30 FMS cases onto a spreadsheet providing a single, authoritative management tool. They provide daily reconciliation of F/B Directorate and Defense Finance and Accounting Service records.
Administration: Our administrative professionals provide administrative, clerical, and management services to all F/B Directorate members. They developed and distributed a concise synopsis of new, lengthy travel accounting rules which earned a formal customer “ata-person” from the program office. They regularly receive heartfelt thank you’ s from individuals that we’ve helped with travel or administrative problems.
