 Global Information Technology Support
and Services (GITSS) SDDC Task
GITSS is an acquisition program comprising 10 Indefinite
Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts. Through
GITSS, federal customers can contract for any IT-related
service, to be provided anywhere, at any time, and at the
best prices and terms available in government. The GITSS
Program is sponsored and managed by the Department of
Veterans Affairs' newly created Federal Acquisition Center,
BuyIT.Gov.
P E Systems has been awarded a task under the GITSS
contract to support the US Army's Military Surface
Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) with a variety of
IT management functions as a subcontractor to Ross
Technologies, Inc. (RTGX). Key areas of support are:
System Operations and Maintenance: P E Systems
provides systems operations support for existing systems
architectures, including hardware and software,
applications, databases and operating systems.
Database Administration: P E
Systems provides database engineering changes, operations
and administration of existing functional database
applications including: software applications, database
upgrades and data recovery. Databases include Oracle,
Unix OS, Win2K3 OS, Access and SQL.
Customer Support: P E Systems provides help desk
support for local and remote IT systems, technical and
subject matter, on-site and on-call assistance to SDDC CONUS
and OCONUS users. Provide LAN/WAN and multimedia
support, account set up, telecommunications and email
services, problem resolution, self-help training, and
reporting. Provide workstation management including
configurations, troubleshooting, application of security
patches and updates to desktop platforms.
Network Operations Support: P E Systems provides
network administration and maintenance for routers,
switches, VPN, gateways, firewalls and IDS, for both wired
and wireless networks.
Telecommunications Support: P E Systems provides
administration and assistance with wired and wireless Wide
Area communications to include CDMA, GSM, Satellite data and
voice, VoIP, POTS, PBXs, and Land Mobile Reaious to all SDDC
CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Data Content and Knowledge Management: P E Systems
provides data management making data assets visible and
accessible, enabling data to be understandable, enabling
data to be entrusted, supporting data interoperability, and
being response to suer needs. This includes data
retrieval, data integration, data recolciliation, data
adminstration, data storage, data warehousing, data mining,
and data analysis and reporting.
